Long time ago you asked me how long I've been a diabetic, and how long I've had a pump. I just put an essay on my home page which answers these. I just caught up on what's been happening to you, wow. The event took a lot of work to partially recover from, and hope you continue doing better to get all your wishes, but did your eyes improve? From an outsider's perspective, sounds like the strokes were worse than the original problem.

Allie! I just got a link for your video - and I just about cried when I said to my friend who sent it to me that I was going to look you up on the Internet - and all along - dumb brained woman that I am - that we are friends here at Tuville!! Scream!!! If my crime in partner at Diabetes1 doesn't want to write up about you - I will certainly spread the word about you - toot sweet!!! Keep on fighting - and again - great vlog on You Tube!!!

good ol' FDA! Your blogs challenge me to research and think. I asked my Doc
when she could get me some old fashion isulin with c-peptides in it. She rolls her eyes at me alot. I got a question... have you done any research on the Spring Point Pig Project? Just wondering because I have never heard you mention it. They are still waiting FDA approval before they start human trials. My dream would be to get a pig islet transplant before I am offered a pancreas.

sorry... the cat did that! I have enjoyed reading your blogs on Alllie's Voice since last fall. I too have been diabetic for 24 years. I have been going through an islet transplant eval for the last year (which I don't qualify for) but have just been listed for a pancreas transplant last week. So far my kidneys are ok, I quallify for the pancreas because of my hypoglycemic unawareness, brittle uncontrolable sugars and early signs of retinopathy and glaucoma. I wanted to wish you good luck with your kidney! Thanks for all your work on Allie's Voice!

Hi Allie - I am so sorry . . . . I have been slammed at work, but I did dig up 7 leads you can try. If you send me your email address, I will email the contact information to you. Sorry I didn't have time to be of more help on this.
