Hey everyone, i am new to this site and would love to make friends with young adults who have type one diabetes. i would love some words of wisdom from my girls out there who have it and how they deal with it. i love my family, friends, and FASHION!!!. i love going to the beach i am still kind of new to all of this and would love to here how everyone deals with it and any words of wisdom of those who came before me. hopefully one day there will be a cure. cheers. :)

having a bad day!!!

i am having one of those i hate diabetes day!!! i have been crying on and off and am getting really mad at my blood sugars from always being high. I do the best i can to count carbs but its so annoing to bring out my little book to look up everything excat!!! ughhhhhhh! i hate this! my mom and i keep fighting and i just want it to go away. Alyssa, it's taking me too long to get back to you... when i was first dx with T1 i gained five pounds in two weeks... b4 dx i never had to worry about my wt now it's different.. i workout and stay with low carb diet and that has helped me... how are you doing now?

Hi Alyssa. Just came across your page, looks like you were diagnosed 1 month before me... I know it's hard, but when I get frustrated and mad at the fact that I have diabetes, I always think about the others who suffer from diseases they cannot control. Just remember... you have diabetes, it doesn't have you!
