Well I am going to try and write my first blog and I guess i will just try and write a little about myself. I am going to keep it brief and just highlight important things.



First my name is Amanda, and I am 26 years old. i have had diabetes for 18 years and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on May 16th, 1989. One day after my younger sisters birthday. I remember that day well. I spent a week in the hospital and I remember that very well too.

Hello! My name is Melissa I AM TYPE 1 . i am on one to four insulin injections a day.My last a1c was 6.5. But i hope to be pumping soon. like you i also have a speciel bond but with my younger brother.he also has type 1. Well take care hope to hear from ya soon. Melissa

Ugh I know where that is too! Yes it is really great to have it down here! I just wish that there was more ppl on here from West TN I think (so far) I'm the olny one from here! Cara wants to find out how many are here in TN and see if we can get together at sometime and do something! I belive there are some others here from VA. You might think about setting up a group for them like that!

This is really a great place! I just love finding other Type 1 ! Back when I took D in the 70's (73 to be exact) nobody knew what it was and sure didn't talk about it now just look! I LOVE that!!!
