Dont get too upset diabetes is tough business. Okay the first thing to try is to figure out how much insulin to take when you are above set point. If you use european system then you shoot for 4 to 6 for every point above 6 you take a certain amount of insulin. go look at http://www.diabetesnet.com/diabetes_control_tips/corr_factor.php or get the book "Think Like a Pancreas".
The next thing to figure out is how much insulin to take for each gram of carb you eat. Once you figure these out then it gets easier I promise.
