"It's kind of like signing up for more stress -- trying to get into a clinical trial right after you get a shocking diagnosis for your child. But I do think it can be worth it. Just getting to sit and talk to the doctor and nurses is a help. And…"

- Hope your son gets in the Defend-2 study. One good thing about it is that we get to see an endocrinologist regularly. He's the one who said he thought Samantha had a thyroid problem also. Otherwise, that may have taken months to figure out. And Samantha had little reaction to the infusion, so that doesn't seem to be a worry. We have a group for Otelixizumab (TRX-4) Trial participants. You can see it under groups or maybe on my page. Don't know how to link.
