So, my last project in my college career, is about family crisis. I have picked having a family member diagnosed with diabetes. All my research is done, and now I have to create a collection/collage of items to put on display in a showcase at the school. I am going to put obvious items, the box my PDM came in, insulin vial, used pod, but I am also looking for other neat ideas. One I am going to use is this website, to point out the importance of social support. Does anyone have any other…

Well kids, last night I went out to dinner.. had a few cocktails around the bonfire.. sugar was looking great. I was really feeling happy with how everything was going. Positive outlook on the whole ordeal.
At 2am I woke up at 47.
I do go into like ultra panic mode when I wake up in the middle of the night low.. it's scary.
So I decided to make an executive decision (as my Dad would say ;))
I temp basal'd to -50%.
I woke up at 5:30am at 87.

Didn't sleep very well last night.. thought the several glasses of wine with a friend in the evening would help.. but it didn't.
Just kind of emotional... excited but nervous, ready but not..
I've must've read my list of things to take with me to the Doctor's appointment 10 times..

Raging diabetic, new to the community..
Couple questions (sure more to come)
If I post a blog, does it automatically post to the groups I've joined?
Do I have to be friends with people to read/comment - or as long as I'm part of the groups that I'm interested in?
What's the friend aspect about? Similar to facebook?

TuDiabetes is a great place to seek support, information, advice, and general friendship. Be sure to introduce yourself on the forums; tell us your story. Also, take part in a conversation or lose yourself in the tons and tons of information. If you need any help or have any questions, feel free to ask! - Matt

We're so happy that you're finally here! Welcome home Ana...
This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups".
Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and
"About us" at the very bottom of your page and every page (the footer), offer you more information still.
