- My daughter is a type 1 diabetic diagnosed when she was 5. Over the years I have been trying to do the best for my daughter and now I am almost at a stand still. I will keep fighting though. We'regoing through a rough time trying to get her a new insulin pump...since the one she is using was recalled within 6 months and discontinued after 8 months. We're on pump #7 right now. We've been trying for the last several years to get a diffrent brand but cannot because I can't find a company who will submit a claim for a new one since she still has a warranty. I just recently ordered supplies for her pump and they let me know they wont be carrying them anymore but give me some numbers to other places and I call them and they tell me they can't get those anymore. Now what do I do? I've been making several calls to different companies and places to try to get her what she needs. I wont give up!!
