Out of control

Okay so I'm new to this website but i've been looking around and reading some of your blogs and i'm excited to know that i've learned new things already and that all of you seem so nice and supportive! I joined this website because I woke up one morning from a bad dream: my type one diabetes was killing me, probably because in reality, my blood glucose levels are WAY higher than the should be. Anyways, I needed new modivation to maintain my diabetes and keep up with all my doses off a syringe.…See More

What has helped me the most is the 'Diabetes App' on my iPhone.
It makes it so much easier for me to keep everything under control, and I don't have to think about it all the time.

I'm sure you being a teenager, you got a nice phone that you could also take advantage of this great technology. And if not, it might be a great reason to get one ;)

I haven't been diabetic for as long as you have, and it was taking me some time to get used to, but now it's just a routine for me. I get excited about typing the number in my phone, look at the graphs and averages. Maybe it could help you to stay motivated.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help!

Hello Angela! Thank you for having me as a friend...I'm touched. I'm a wife of 33 years (hubby is also diabetic), mom to two grown children, a grandma to 3 little boys, a teacher, and before that an illustrator (still do some) and graphic designer.
Don't despair sweetie....we all have good and bad days....and sometimes we feel it'll never end, just when you think things are looking up...BANG...something else throws you for a loop. Diabetes does not play fair. Hang in there! I'm so glad you found us. What better place to be than here, where we're all on the same page. Check out some of the groups I've mentioned below, such as "Teenagers with Type 1", "College Students with Diabetes" and "Young Adults with Diabetes". Don't forget that we care.
Keep in touch, ok?
