i have been on symlin for at least a year. symlin is NOT insulin. it does NOT AFFECT your novalog. if you carb count, your ratio will not change. symlin will affect hunger & fullness so you may want less to eat but that is the only way it will aff...

it's been a while since i took simlyn... when i did, my doctor dosed it in units, since i used it in an insulin syringe. what's 45 mcg in units?

Yes, you should end up taking about half of the rapid-acting insulin you would otherwise need. If you started two weeks ago you are probably at 45mcg by now, is that right?
