Wounds that won't heal-hyperberic oxygen chamber therapy

Has anyone had success with hyperberic oxygen chamber therapy to heal foot ulcers for example?

What do you bring with you to the ER or hospital?

I have had close family members go to the ER or hospital never expecting to get admitted.
First I would bring someone who would be a wonderful, intelligent advocate for me. That is to make sure the patient gets out alive (I am not kidding)!!!
What would you bring?

Hi Ann,

My friend's success with gamma globulin lasted while he was on this treatment, but the effects stopped once the treatment ended. He had an immune problem, unrelated to his diabetes. He's very healthy & has taken rigid control of his diabetes his whole life.

Ann, Thanks for inviting me as a friend. I have been a diabetic for almost 40 years but have very few complications. I do have some neuropathy in my feet but Lyrica really helps with that.

I hope that your sister is doing well and she is lucky to have you.

It's good to know that you're such a good and supportive voice for your sister. I do have support. I am in Ohio by myself, my parents and younger brother moved out of state a year and half ago. That makes it extra rough as I am really close to my mother. She's my biggest cheerleader. I am not in school. I graduated last year. I do hair now. It rocks. :) Has your sister had kids? That is my current concern as I am getting to that age and my stupid biological clock is ticking in my ear.... I am worried the diabetes will prevent it.

hi, Ann, thanks. I've been really lucky to not have too many complications. I've had all the laser for retinopathy 25 years ago, and I can still drive. My problem now is my skin is full of places with bad absorption, from 41 years of needles (18 of those from pump infusion sets).

When I lived in the DC area and in CA, I saw docs that were at teaching hospitals (Georgetown U in DC and UCI in CA), so I got the best care. Now that I live in a way-out-of-town rural area, I'd have to go a couple of hours to get that level. I do have a brother in the medical field and I also have TuD.
