Hello all,
I know I haven't been around lately. I withdrew from lots of my activities this past couple weeks.Two weeks ago , on May 7, 2010, tragedy struck my family.My brother and nephew were in a car accident. According to police it was one of the worst they had seen. My brother didn't survive, my nephew is alive and well few a few bumps and bruises.Even though I have lost love ones in the past this is the worst one. It was my brother who even though I wasn't very close to I still… Continue

Hello all,
Its been a while since I have written anything. Well recently while on a trip I realized how much I like being at home with people who understand what it is like to have Diabetes and everything I have to go through. I was traveling with a co-worker who knows I have diabetes but does not have it herself. I realized she has no understanding and was always "forgetting" that I have to eat a complete meal and at certain times. One example is we had a "dinner" to go to at the… Continue

Hello all,
Well I can't believe it has been a year since I was diagnosed. I guess a lot has changes. As far as my diabetes is concerned I have been doing well, when I started my A1C was 10.5, last time I had it checked it was at 6.5. I am going to get blood drawn tomorrow, and will get the results next wednesday when I go to the doctor.Hopefully everything will be fine. Well talk to you all later!

Hello all!
Just had to share the news. I went to the doctor today had blood drawn for an A1C on Monday as it turns out my New A1C level......6.5! WOO HOO! Doctor said if i can maintain that I will only have to see him every six months instead of every three!! Well hope everyone is doing well!

Hello all,
I am back on here so I can vent to someone who might understand. Last night around 9:30 i checked my sugar it was about 128. So I had my snack and took my meds. I went to sleep about 10:30. At 1 am I woke up for some reason and decided to check my sugar it was at 90. So I went to the kitchen grabbed a glass of OJ and a granola bar then went back to sleep.At around 4 am I woke up again, checked again and it was 136. So I went back to sleep. At 630 my mom called me to get… Continue
