How do you hope to benefit from TuDiabetes?
Up until 5 years ago my diabeties has never been under control. I am now having a lot of complications from not taking care of myself in the past. I know my friends and family are worried about me but they are so judgemental, they have no clue what I go through on a daily basis. It would be nice just to find people that will support me and know what I am going through.

I let it go in one ear and out the other, I was young I thought I was invincible. At 28 I have had to have three laser surgeries to prevent blindess and I am in the beginging stages of kidney disease. I still have 100 precent function of my kidneys but just in the past three months my protein levels have tripled. I… Continue

So true April...such a big responsibility, as well...you've had diabetes since you were a little girl, so even though the transplant would free you of injections/pump....the fact remains that diabetes is still what YOU are comfortable with...I mean it's what you've known most of your life. Also, keep in mind that though you would be rid of diabetes tools etc...for a while, I don't think a transplanted pancreas lasts forever. It's good that you've been approved so quickly. Do MUCH research!
