I am T2. When trained on my pump, I was told by my DE that I could go up to 1 hour off pump without covering the missing basal in advance, making sure to check BG once reconnected. Obviously this may not work for everyone, but has worked for me.

Hi

Hi everybody. I am April. My 7 year old daughter Skylar was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on February 20, 2009. She has been on the Animas Pump since April 13th. She has her moments but basically is handling all of this really well. She's tough! I joined here so that I can learn as much as possible about how to take the best care of Skylar and her Diabetes.
