About me

I am newly diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I am trying to change my lifestyle, adding exercise seems to be the hardest but it seems to be working out so far.
I work in high tech or computers, I have been just about everywhere, haven’t always seen things while I am there but I have been there.
I currently reside in San Jose, CA and I am always looking for advise.

Hello world

Well after three months of ups and downs, rashes and other stuff the results are in. My A1C is 6.3 - still a ways to go but much better then 9.7.

Other values also on the mend.

I am patting myself on the back and ready to go for more.

I can do this!!

The New Year

Hello world,

Well as mentioned before, while on Metformin broke out in a rash and the MD changed my meds to Glyburide. Well I like this new drug alot!

My numbers are much much better, even below 110 in the AM, a big deal for me. Spent a week in Vegas with the family and numbers were good all week long.

Before we left spoke with the Blue Shield nurse person who will help me with my diabetes with once a month phone calls like clinic visits. Pretty cool idea and from an…

Rash Part Two

Good evening world!

Well the MD decided that since my rash has not worsened, I guess it has improved somewhat even though it still really itches at times, to change my meds from metformin to glyburide.

Reading the sheet that you get from Walgreens is informative but I guess it can be scary as well. It is said that diabetes is about control, well I am spending alot of time talking to my doctor, getting presecriptions and updating my medic alert info, how is that…

Hey Arthur,

Wasn't sure how to message you other than by posting on your wall. I noticed in the "international travel" thread you mentioned that you're from Israel. I'm currently thinking about moving to Israel, but I don't know if I can because I'm not sure I can afford my supplies. How much does humalog insulin cost? What about pump supplies? Any idea?

Thanks!
