Please tell me I'm wrong!!!

Well, I just got my test results back and the doctor said she was a bit worried about my kidney function but that she'd go ahead and do a re-test in 6 months. I got to looking at it this morning and I've been on the computer ever since.

I read the kidney function results and here they are:

Creatinine, Serum was 1.10mg/dL H = Limits are 0.57-1.00
Glom Filt Rate, Est was 57 mL/min/1.73 L = should be greater than 59

Okay, so I didn't think anything of this because she just said that we should ke… Continue

FREE ONE TOUCH ULTRA MINI METER...seriously

Hey everyone...just thought I'd make a quick post to help everyone out since I'm sure we could all use something free every once in a while. This offer is from One touch and I'm sure you'd love to have one:

Go here and fill out your information to have it mailed. I'm serious; I hate spamming so I'm not trying to push anything on you that you'd have to click 100 links to get; just let them know where to send it and how many times a day you test...the usual; when did you get diagnosed questions t… Continue

Please vote for my picture!

I've entered a contest through Diabetic living and would really love anyone's help. I need votes in order to win and there were only 5 people that entered the sweepstakes. If I should win I'll be awarded a 500.00 cash card, T-shirt and my slogan on a T-shirt too. I would really love help from whom ever is willing to give it. Now, you do have to sign up/sign in in order to place your vote, but hey, it's from Diabetic Living; another great place for diabetics...besides, this is a website for the m… Continue

OMG....I'm going crazy!!!

Okay, so here's the deal...

I've been going on this roller coaster ride with this stuff for a long time now. Just recently I ran out of strips (before I was lucky enough to win some on the "world in your hands" giveaway [week3])...well, it had actually been months without strips. Now mind you. I have been diagnosed as going through the honeymoon phaze of type 1 (not fully diagnosed yet because they say my pancreas is still spittin' occasionally). Well, my husband owns his own business yet we ar… Continue

What a day...

Well, the thing that I hoped would never happen, did!!!

I thought I'd be okay walking to get my daughters from school since it is only 1 mile there and 1 mile back. I ate a peanut butter and bread sandwich before I walked out the door (just to be safe). Apparently that wasn't enough and the heat was too much for me.

I was fine at the first. I went to my littlest school to pick up (my pre-Ker), but half way to the other school to pick up my other daughter I felt it. I new right then that I was… Continue
