30-35 carbs for the day!!!! Oh my goodness. You must be a saint, Gerir! I thought I was doing pretty good at about 150g (before the subtraction of the fiber intake which is usually around 30 g). Go...

Low grade temps can be casued by dehydration. But there are also other causes. Make sure you have no other issues (wounds, cuts, etc) going on.

Congratualtions for biting the bullet and seeing the endo. So many with years of experience here that can help you. If your endo will not adjust insulin for you as soon as needed, I would start myself by lowering the basal insulin. I am just theor...

Goodness-your meter wouldn't read your BG! Yikes. That had to be scary! Thanks for sharing your story here--it sounds a bit like my own--esp. about the exercise....:)

Well I'm really glad that you are getting back on track. I fell off for awhile and so I know what it feels like to have to get back to the program. However, I wasn't hitting as many lows as you are or I hope were but that is because I started out ...

I'm sorry that you got "the look" from the endo, too. No one likes being guilted into taking better care of herself. The endo is part of the team -- not a judge. It's the endo's job to listen to you, learn your challenges, and make recommendations...

Welcome to TuDiabetes, Beth. Let me know if I can answer any questions you have about the community!

Also, I just wanted to let you know that I had a lot of success on Weight Watchers in 2008. I lost nearly 30 pounds from April to October. Have you considered WW in your weight loss efforts? It was type 1-friendly, I thought.
