I wouldn't want to have the pod and sensor in one... I have to change the site for the pump every few days, but will let the CGM sit for a week or more! With dexcom the sensors last 10 + days and you can't leave a pump site there that long. I hear...

Yeah, we love the Aviva here too!

No CGM will catch every low, but they will alert you to the vast majority of them. Hypoglycemic unawareness is a fantastic reason to get one. You will need a letter of medical necessity, and a prescription. We use the dexcom, and I highly recomme...

I recieved a solo sample in the mail. I was not impressed. it was slightly thinner, but the same relative size as far as real estate taken on the body. When it first arrived I thought.... oh this looks a lot smaller ... then I put it next to a pod...

If you are interested in a MM pump, I would contact the rep over your area and ask them to see if they can get you a deal like they did for the cozmo pumpers. If they won't help, try animas. I know they had a trade in deal for the cozmo users too...

We rarely have pod site issues, and when we do, we just draw the insulin back out. It really is not an issue for us at all because they rarely fail, but I have not had any problem getting the insulin out. I'd highly recommend the Omnipod. Great pu...

The failed sensors will be replaced. we received 3 from a batch of 12. I let the 3rd "bad" sensor wet for 12 hours and it works, but they replaced it too since it should not have done this to begin with. The replacement sensors are great. Almost e...

Simply select start sensor. There is no need to touch anything on the transmitter/sensor, just when the 7 days are up, select start sensor on the receiver, wait 2 hours and calibrate. It cannot tell that it is not a new sensor . Also a great way t...

Another happy dex user here! Downloading is very easy, and so I am not sure what the dr is referring to. We usually get much longer than the 7 days, and the transmitter is very small and light. It sticks well and the accuracy is great.

Officialy there is not a CGM that is FDA approved for any child that young. I know several people who use the dexcom on children under 3. Check out the childrenwithdiabetes.com website and you will find many people who use a CGM with young childr...

YOu are right. I have run the numbers on the Omnipod, and it does keep me under the cap. But you can use the Dexcom with it? I didn't realize that. My Omnipod rep said they don't have a CGM system yet?? I know I don't quite have the whole picture .... have you used other pumps in the past? You haven't had probs with the Omni?
