Bob,

Hi my name is Anthony. Yesterday I had a chance to talk a bit with John Alexander at Reston Hospitol in Virginia. I mentioned to him that Team Type 1 has inspired me to do more with my involvement in the Red Rider program. I want to do a two man Red Rider RAAM team in 2012. Both me and my friend Donnie McFall will both be 50 in 2012 and we would like to use RAAM to tie all the RED Rider groups together. John told me you were very active in your Red Rider involvement. I would like to pick your brain and get your ideas on how best we can pull this off. I am also looking foe a crew chief if you would be interested.

Rub it in all you want. You think you are so tough riding up there in those mountains. I have to ride in the HEAT on FLAT land. Do you know how hard it is to ride on FLAT land?

Damnit you know I want to come up there and ride. I guess I need to really get that in my budget. Maybe I'll see if someone has some frequent flier miles they don't need.

Team Type 2 A Big Hit In Denver

Denver — Even before the three members of Team Type 2 could get set up Saturday at the American Diabetes Expo in Denver, they were already being quizzed about how they manage their Type 2 diabetes as competitive cyclists.

The extraordinary attention continued throughout the day as Team Type 2 Director Bob Avritt, Tim Dolan and Mark Thul pedaled their Orbea bicycles on stationary trainers in the ADA’s Tour de Cure booth at the Colorado Convention Center.
