Profile Information

The PRIMARY person in my life who has diabetes has
Type 1 or type 1.5 (LADA) diabetes
How do you hope to benefit from TuDiabetes?
I need people to reach out to. Answer questions. See how other people deal with emotional parts of Daibetes. I need people who understand what it is like to be diabetic.
Date diagnosed
February 22, 2012
Most recent HbA1C %, date of result (optional)
7.4 September 28, 2012
Type of treatment/devices you use
Shots, Diet and Exercise
Tell us more about you (optional)
I have recently been diagnosed. This is has been a roller coaster. I still have so many questions. At times I think I am completely uncotrolled and there is nothing I can do. I am still pretty new at this, but I hate it. Everyone says it is managable, but they do not have it. Maybe I will feel better hearing from people who DO manage it. I just need some support from people who know what I am gonig through.

Hey girlie ... Trust me I know the feeling and yes every doctor I go to non diabetes related constantly throws it in my face as if I don't remember each day what I have to live with. But to answer your question yes and no it gets easier.... You get more used to living with it but somedays you might still have days you wonder why you have it and why me type thoughts I still to this day do... But I just stay positive and knowing that my health comes first I try to pick my self up and move on.... I have been on shots since I was diagnosed and recently have been fed up w having diabetes so undecided to take the step to getting off the shots and onto the pump to better my health and make me a little more normal

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
