"I never had that happen, but I would definitely call Animas if I were you. At the very least they need to make a note of what lot/batch the Inset was from. And they'll probably replace it for you :)"

Problems with Animas Insets

I was wondering if anyone was having any problems with their Animas insets breaking. Sometimes, when I pull back the inset to get ready to insert it, it breaks. It falls apart, basically. The last night, I was changing the inset and inserted/injected it into my stomach where it basically fell apart. The white spring part broke off of the plastic bit. It hurt quite a bit...I'm sure the guy in the next apartment loved hearing my string of curse words. I was just wondering if anyone else had these…See More

"I hate traveling with my pump - the concern with xrays, TSA, all of the supplies and extra backups, the different kind of xray machines in AMS, and the delay to explain everything. So now I just go back to MDIs on trips. It's way easier."

Hello Brandie!  Long time!  I am amazed....needle/novacaine for laser surgery!?  I need t ask my doc about that one!  So, the entire process went OK for you?  How long ago was it?  How did your Mom/driving go?  HOpefully you are fully recovered now!  Great to hear from you!

Hey branie! I was wondering about you! glad to hear the procedure went well, and I assume your mom di ok with the driving! did you get to watch "Criminal Minds?" I also have had occasions where the drops seem to wear off a bit, depending upon how long the procedure goes, and it CAN get a bit painful! My problem is I just cant seem to stop myself from laughing (in frustration) when that happens, I know that makes me a bit strange, but then again, I have gone through over 30 of these things!
