Brea, I just want to thank you for opening this discussion group to help those of us who have this added problem in our lives to cope with. I am finding it very helpful in my daily life to know that I can come here and see that I'm not alone with the double D's. Again, a big thanks to a beautiful young lady.

I am an LVN and am half way done with my RN. I have also thought about being a diabetes educator. When I lived in Wyoming I had a diabetes educator that was also a diabetic and it really helped and she understood what I was going thru. Good luck !! Go for; the sky is the limit. Don't let diabetes stop you.

Go for the gold! If you feel this is your passion, begin looking into it. See what creditcs could potentially transfer from your last college to the college in town, in turn finding out how long you would be in school and able to set a budget for paying for school (not sure how much personal info you want on this blog...so will leave it vague) :) Your family supports you 100% even if you change your mind 100 times before finding your passion in life. (Lord knows we've all been there...heck, some still are! ;)) Use the talents and blessings (yes, diabetes can be viewed as a blessing!) the Lord has graciously given to you and live for the Lord! I love you and am here to help in any way that I humanly can!

ps: I'm beginning a blog here soon...whenever I have a spare minute to make my first entry... lol I'll send you the address. Didn't know you had this! Very neat :)

C'mon, sure you can change the cards you're dealt! (5-card draw poker, Hearts, solitaire, etc.)
Anyway, in most card games, the person who winds up without any cards is the winner.
