Anyone else experience hearing/sound sensitivity with low blood sugar? I've noticed that I have a tendency to turn down the volume of the tv, radio etc when my bg is low. Everything suddenly seems louder for some reason. Weird huh?

"hearing/sound sensitivity with low blood sugar"
That's very interesting. I've never heard of that (pun intended.)

I consider myself to be fairly sensitive to noise in general but have not encountered what you describe. But I will look out for it next time.

Hey Brian - I did a half marathon in August and managing BGs is a huge challenge - for me it was really tough to not end up super high by the end of my runs, b/c I would run my sugars higher to prevent lows. Its really just trial and error. I reccomend bringing your glucose meter with you once you start running past an hour, its worth stopping for 30 seconds to check. I use the SpiBelt (www.spibelt.com) to carry my meter, loose strips, lancer, and a packet of GU or other carb gel, and once you get used to carrying it, its not so bad.
I wrote about training a lot on my blog - www.irunoninsulin.com Check it out when you get a chance, there may be some helpful posts on there for you!

Thanks, Brian! Glad you like my work. That one painting seems to be popular. It sold right off the wall at it's first showing! It's full title is "Not Dead, Just Floating" because to me it depicts times in my life that I may not be vigorously swimming against the current, but resting and enjoying where I am at. Thanks again for checking out my art. Have a great day!
