Hi Brian, great to hear from you. Yes, I also contacted Dex Com who said the same thing. I think your best bet for getting one in the near future is to treat yourself to a trip to the US! Dex Com told me I could purchase one out there but would need a referral from an American doctor -which shouldnt be too much trouble and to stay long enough in the US for the order to be shipped out to an American address. This is a bit complicated but the only other way to get one here is through the Medtronic insulin pump and the sensors are unbelievably expensive -about £375 per month. Let me know how you get on, Dee

! have been DiabeticT1 since 1939,was 7 when diagnosed and am now 67yrs. Amazingly I have not been much troubled by complication with no retinopathy(well it takes for ever to find any). I have some neuritis but nothing too gross, have had both hips replaced and am now waiting for a cataract op. I take shots because that was the only choice and I don't like machinery but am now thinking I should get a CGMS because I am hypo unaware and my wife doesn't think I am safe out of her sight. Also I am still driving. I know thar CGMS are even more expensive here in UK than in the States but there are no pockets in your shroud so I may as well spend it! Any advice on getting CGMS in UK welcome. Brian
