Hi Brigitte! I'm so sorry to hear about your eye. Is there anything that you can do to help it? I know that good blood sugars always help. How much are you able to see now?

I will be thinking about you and hope that you get some better news.

La Toussaint...oui, on célèbre ça au Québec aussi!!! Et au Canada Anglais ça s'appelle "All Saints Day"
Ici, on se remets de la pneumonie/des rhumes. Trying to get people to commit is no easy task indeed...always feel like you're doing the chasing!
Take care Brigitte...linda.

Brigitte,
Just saw your message. Technically the "online" status continues to be green for a little bit even after you have logged out. This could be as long as an hour or so. If you see the online green light LONG after you have signed out, please let me know sending me a private message, so I can look into it.

Bon weekend, mon amie!

Eh Brigitte! Technically our Thanksgiving is today, but I'm postponing our celebration 'till next Saturday, as my husband is sick with the flu!
Yes, there are indeed special tempting/delectable dishes for Thanksgiving (think Christmas!)...generally, and in our home, the main course is roasted turkey, the rest pretty much depends on your cultural background. Since mine is predominantly French, well...there are pastries (including tourtières...have you ever sampled this? It's a meat pie...yummmm! It has it's origins in Québec!)...also, there are pâtées, cheeses, potages, a salad, hors d'oeuvres etc....and wine. Lots of chatter and good fun. A movie for the guests while things are being prepared in the kitchen...and after dinner, a walk before returning for coffee/tea and sweets. A great challenge in carb counting and portion sizes all the while trying to overcome temptation. I do fine simply by keeping it to small portions, and being very busy with preparations...as well as the walk after dinner!
À plus tard....linda!
