Welcome to an outstanding website, that is informative, and anxious to help and share, experiences and advice.ASK for info and I am sure you will find useful info because you are starting an important journey. I am insulin-dependent since 1977.Was clinically dead, with a BS of 880, with my SECOND CHANCE I made a promise to help as many as I can, as a ROLE MODEL, have reached over 40.000 and still trailblazing at the young age of 91. My simple advice gained from top people in the diabetes field, is. The person who knows most about their diabetes will LIVE THE LONGEST. 1. have a good diabetics specialist, 2.wear a MEDIC-ALERT identification,it can SPEAK for you in any emergencies, 3.listen to your BODY, it tells you when to eat, snack, rest, sleep and EXERCISE, get yourself a DIABETIC BUDDY, someone you call EVERYDAY, it will serve 2 purposes, makes someone's DAY, and could SAVE A LIFE. Why don't you start a novel way of diabetes social club, call 5 DIABETICS, daily, and have each one call 5 diabetics. My appreciation for INSULIN giving me a healthy lifestyle, I am asking insulin-users, globally to join me, in silence, JULY 30, and give THANKS, for BANTING & BEST, discovery of INSULIN, JULY 30 1921. Check out www.restorethebantinghomestead,com, because the AMIGOS will be selling BLUE ROSES, to raise funds to turn the HOMESTEAD into a diabetic camp for children. The reason we chose this flower is because one of its meanings is 'ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE.our mission, Keep In Touch clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca
