I'm a side sleeper, too, and haven't had much trouble with the OmniPod. Once in a while I put the pod in what turns out to be an uncomfortable spot, but it's not a big problem. I'm still able to sleep just fine and the pods do just fine, too.

I keep my pump clipped to the front of my jammies. Like you I am a side sleeper but with the pump in front I hardly notice it. Even if I roll onto in the night. Your other option is to let the pump roam "free range" Ive done this a few times but d...

Welcome to our growing family CJ!!!!!May I make a commit here so you can get on other's pages here b/c I know I'm really bad about not comming back to other's pages after I welcome them here and this way you can go straight to their pages and say what you want to and almost be sure they will get your message. Just hit the commit back bar under our commits and it will take you straight to that person's page!!!

Thank you all for your kind welcome! I am struggling to get to the acceptance stage with this illness and appreciate all the friends and advice I can get...

Anybody else going to Chicago for Terminus - Harry Potter Conference? It will be my first flight since diagnosis and I am hoping that the airport is not too crazy. Has anybody used the 'Frio' packs before for keeping insulin cool?

I wore a Minimed for 8 years, CJ. If you've never worn a pump before, I do think they're a good company to begin with. They are sleek, trusted, and have like 80% of the market share. But the Omnipod is a fascinating new innovation, too. Have you requested your free pod from them? Insulet sent me one to wear for a few days and a CD with a virtual PDM to play with. I didn't end up choosing them (I now wear a Cozmo), but I am really interested in their future. Check out bernard farrell and amy tenderich's blogs about diabetes technology. They have product reviews and demos. Also, I found this site helpful.

Hi! I am a mom of two, just diagnosed with lada type 1. I think I am finally ready to choose a pump, but I am having trouble choosing between the Omnipod and the Medtronic. Any thoughts are helpful...
