Okay, it's been a year and while there has been some good things about OmniPod, the cons have outweighed the pros. Probably a combination of first time ever using a pump, first year of college, stress of dealing with college, pods, etc. and sensitive skin - the rashes are the tipping point. Yeah, we've tried the wipes to remove the glue, tried lotion, tried prescription lotion - I think my daughter is just stressed and she is glad to be back on pens. My son has been using the OmniPod for over 2 years. I remember pump start and it was tricky. It took a while to get all the settings down - it's tough at the beginning when you are trying to manage ICs, CFs and basal settings all at the same time. We still make basal changes regularly. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer anything I can. Best wishes to you and your daughter!
