Type 1.5

On Monday 5/20/2013, after a 6 year diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes, I have Type 1.5. Its a shock and relief as I lost complete control of my sugars.

My new A1C is now 7.5...and Im depressed. metformin xr is now 1500mg at dinner. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. My most recent A1C was 6.0, it thought it was awesome. I has been higher. I really don't do anything to lower it besides take my metformin everyday...lol :) Take care.

hi, Carl, I was just reading your blog, and I have a few suggestions. I'm type 1 but it's the same thing, we have to keep motivated to test, exercise, eat right, and stay positive. I don't think you can tackle everything at once, but if you start with a few baby steps, I think when you begin to see some improvements, you can keep it up. Keep in touch here, I find TuD to be a real help for me to do what I have to do.
