ok....so ive been off the pump and on insulin pens(lantus and novolog) for a week now. im kinda having issues with it. i mean i love having the freedom of no wire attached to me, but man do those injections hurt! ive been getting small bruises at some of the injection sites and the injecting the lantus hurts, but i think thats because im taking so much at one time?! anywho..if anyone has had these issues let me know! :) p.s i just bought alcohol swabs w/ anestheic hopefully that will help :/

on this coming up friday i am going to see my endo. and cde to switch from the pump to lantus! im nervous and excited at the same time. i hate haveing the pump as a phyical reminder of diabetes and it stops me from wearing certain things. is there any one who has made the switch or on lantus that may be able to give me advice and/or info about lantus?? thanks!

I have had diabetes for 8 years. I am currently in my 3rd year of college. Recently i have been feeling really down about my self, more than usual. I dont inderstand y i just cant get over the fact i have this stupid, inconvenient disease and just live my life. i feel this has set me back socially. As i get older and meet new people i feel more and more self conscience about my self. I just dont know what to do....
