I am finally doing it!!!!!

For ten years I have had a hell of a battle. Nothing from the get go has worked and I mean I have tried almost everything and a combo of those together. Well finally I got a animas ping yeah alright. Well it still in the 300-400 range. Getting no where and my endo out on maternity leave and 3 hours away I am getting frustrated to say the least. If not for my good friend Suzanne on here I would have lost it.

I finally got in with my Dr.'s stand in and he prescribed glucovance to go along with my… Continue

I did the dumbest thing this morning!

I got up and took my Lantus and glyburide and checked my blood sugar. It was 99 which was great, usually mine is in the 200's. So because of not being use to having 99 blood sugar in the morning I did not think much about it and was really tired so I went back to sleep. I was awakened by my older son by loud music so I said well I mind as well get up. When I did that is when I started feeling odd. I checked my sugar and it was 57. I have never had a low and not felt it coming on or not been awak… Continue

Way to high

I can not get my sugar down. It is staying for 2 weeks now around 300-400 and my vision is so blurry. I keep falling a sleep and I can't drive because of it. I woke up yesterday at 3:00 P.M. Because I was so tired. Can you believe that? I keep forgetting things to.To make it worse the things I am forgetting is my meds. When I do take them on time it doesn't bring it down. I take Levemir, byetta, novolog, glyburide and nothing is helping. I feel like crap. I want to throw all my meds in the garba… Continue

The purpose of groups

Hi, I was just wondering the purpose of groups? I have joined a few and no one ever talks on them. I figured it would be a great place to meet other diabetics that have similar interests and converse with them, but no one ever says anything. So why even join one or have one? I wish the groups worked out better, because it would be nice to converse with people with similar interests.

Hey Cathy! Just wanted to say Hi and see how you are doing. Things have been a little crazy around here, but I finally had 2 days off in a row. I slept late and was pretty much of a slug. The weather was cold and nasty here this weekend. It felt like Dec. weather and I hate cold weather. Take care and talk to you soon!

Hi Cathy! Thanks for accepting! I look forward to getting to know you! What kind of work outs are you doing? I have to start doing more weight bearing exercises. I asked the Dr. "you mean dogs pulling me all day in my job does not count??" Nope.... :-)

Hi Cathy! Thanks for the comment on Awstin. He is a sweetie! All Welsh Corgi...big attitude, little body, but thinks he is a big dog like Sonny :-) And the typical barking Corgi....have to work more on that one! He constantly makes me smile!

Hello Cathy,
Thanks for the comment on Sonny the dog. Sonny is a very very laid back 150 pound dog. He is my son's dog and very well trained. Sonny lives with 5 cats and they rule, go figure. Sid
