I got a question about metformin if that's alright

I feel I probably need to give a bit a background on the question for it to make sense. Please bear with me. I'll try to keep it short.I was diagnosed with diabetes last March when I was in the hospital for a week with DKA. I have a pretty strong fear when it comes to needles so it was a mess.. We are expecting our first child! We found out that it's a boy last week. It's been rough having type 1 and being pregnant. I'm having lots of really bad lows.. Things are going well with the baby so far though.
