Christine:

I can totally connect with you. I've been there, done that a few times. I would like to direct you to my home page. Please read it and be motivated or scared or both. I've been told it really touches people and opens their eyes. You see, it is easier to see others clearly more than yourself. You are not going through something new in the world of diabetes. BUT you don't have to suffer the consequences our your own idiotic behavior. I am not calling you an idiot, but am referring to the behavior as you will see it when you have been through this stage. And, believe me, you will get through it one way or another. The complications you suffer will be partially controlled by what you do or don't do today. So don't spend another day acting like Idiot Lois, find the one thing that you can say to yourself that will change your actions from negative to positive. Like ..... I don't want to end up like that Lois! Boy did she step into it!!"

Please feel free to contact me and we can discuss this further. Sometimes it is hard to hear the truth but we need to hear the truth sooner or later. Hope it is sooner for you!

God Bless You!

Hi Christine and welcome! I was diagnosed 10-23-78 so only a little over a month before you. I had motivation problems, depression and all kinds of issues for a long time so I identified with your post. I hope participating here will be just the boost you need to get your motivation back.
