First of all, I have only been a diabetic (T2) since March of 2005. My hat is off to all you long-time diabetics. I went on MDI's Nov of 2007. I tried to avoid it for along time, but all my strict eating and 6-7 days a week of exercise could not ...

I'm 48 years old, married w/ two grown kids. My wife is pretty supportive without being too bossy about it. I was on just orals w/ exercise until Nov 2007. Now I'm on Lantus and Novolog.

I try to stay pretty active with cardio every day w/ a little weight training every few days. When it's not winter here in Wis (mostly just July!), I love to ride my bike. My biggest challenge is making sure I'm not crashing at the gym now that I'm on insulin. It's all getting very old, but what can you do?

I hope to find a support group here in the Milw area with fellow diabetics who are in my age range.

Hi fellow Wisconsinite- I saw you posted that there is a support group in Milwaukee and I was just wondering if you could tell me a little about it. I will be moving to Milwaukee in August and I have been having a lot of trouble with low blood sugars and exercise. This year I have been sent to the ER twice after working out with a low sugar. So frustrating!

Hey, Corey! I have tried to see as much as I possibly could see with in the past 7 years. I have had a blast... hope I can continue to travel.

Is Greenfield is near Milwaukee, right? Are you a Brewers fan? I am watching the Cubs/ Brewers game right now.

Hi Corey... my bike has treated me will so far. The seat has been very comfortable. The rest of me body has been REALLY sore though. I guess I have to get used to exercising on a bike, again.

Hope your Diabetes is treating you well today!

Hi Corey, how do you like the metformin and what side effects do you see? I have another app tomorrow and this is the med they are talking about putting me on. My blood sugars are so random. Anywhere from 48-287. I ate the exact same foods for 3 days, no cheating at the same times and had 3 entirely different blood sugars. Crazy huh????
