bort269 replied to Courtney's discussion 'Dexcom Battery Charging' in the group Dexcom Users
"I don't know about when it is shutdown as I have never shut my G4 down since February of this year! :-) Are you charging it for the first time? Otherwise, mine charges up very quickly (goes from 25% to 100% in less than an hour every time). If…"

Dexcom Battery Charging

Does anyone know if you can shut down your Dexcom and charge battery? Also in the documentation it states that the battery will take 3 hours to charge if plugged into the wall. I have had my charging for at 3 hours now and it still showing in the red.See More

For users of a Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring ("CGM") deviceJust as a reminder with the recent release of the new Dexcom G4 to the US market--it is NOT okay to post about previous models or older sensors as being 'for sale' on this site.It is a violation of the Terms of Use because it is a prescription device, and any such efforts will unfortunately be removed. We encourage you to donate supplies to non-profits such as the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association (…See More

"I hold the pod vertically with the hole at the bottom. Sometimes it is difficult to get the plunger to move, so that the insulin can be extracted. I've had old-style pods where I couldn't get any insulin out at all. If, after a few tries,…"

Hi Courtney, I noticed you're in Sugar Land. Extremely close to me. I'm a Type 1 also. Been a Diabetic since age 5. I noticed one of your posts where you said to go to a group in Downtown Houston. How is the group? Been looking for a good support group in the Southwest or West area.
