American Diabetes Expo

I went to the American Diabetes Expo here in Atlanta and it wasn't as good as they made it out to be I was very disapporinated. But it had it good points to I learned a lot ablut reading the food lables and how to understand them they can be very confusing and intimadating.I also learned how to correct to examin my feet.They also had alot of manufactors there from companys like pumps. medicians, food & of course wal-mart.I wish all of u could have went .

You know it's a sad thing when our so called Goverment will give Crackheads FREE needles and supplies and want help people who have a diabetics and need help getting or paying for their medications or supplies.But our Goverment can give millions to another country but yet they CAN"Y OR WANT help people who need it in their own country.This has gone on long enough and we need to do something about!!!! It's really a pain breing a diabetic u have to keep a check on ur sugar and take medication 4 it .It's not running my life bit I just get tired of doing all that.What makes it harder is at work when I ask my manger if I can take a break to check my sugar and she tells at me like r u kidding were busy & u need to check ur sugar, she's knows had I'm a diabetic but I thinks either she don't care or she doesn't unstand about diabetes.I had a good paying job cing the country and getting paid 4… Continue

One morning I was at work and all of a sudden I started haveing chest pains so I went to the ER and they did blood work and ask me if I new I was a diabetic and I said theres no way .They showed me the results of my blood work and my sugar 454.I was in shock and scared, I heared of diabetes because some of my family had it and I thought it would never happen to me.I was so scared that they had to admit me to the hospiltal,now 5 yrs later I just as scared even though Im know more about diabetes… Continue
