brokenpole said… Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.

Hello! Thank you for having me as a friend Dale....
Massachussets (? or is MA Maine?)...anyhow, still far away, and yet right here! That's one of the appealing factors of tu.diabetes. I'm in Canada...in the southwestern part of the province of Ontario...a city named Kitchener-Waterloo (2 cities joined together). I'm a wife of 33 years, mom to two grown children, a grandma to 3 lovable little boys, a teacher, and before that an illustrator and graphic designer....I speak French and English, I read, history fascinates me, I paint, sing, walk, garden, ski, ride my bike....did I mention "read"? I love having friends over, I bake/cook, am an eclectic music lover, an animal lover...the ocean...ah the ocean...it speaks to me! Oh...and I have diabetes (and a few other things).
How is your son coping with it all. My cousin's son...now in his 30s (dx as a toddler) had a rough patch while in his teens... but things were quite different back then, in every aspect! AND there was no Tu.diabetes :)
Keep in touch, ok?
Many hugs....linda
