I was nervous about registering. I knew for sure I could do 32 miles, but 64 sounded like a worthy challenge for a very good cause. Considering my current ride speed, depending on how flat the course is, I'm guessing it will take me about 4 or 5 hours.
32 miles should be doable if you commit to working up to that between now and then. You don't necessarily need to be riding 32 miles regularly, but you should definitely be comfortable on your bike for 20 mile rides, and aware of what you will need to do to support yourself on the ride.
There are also training rides in the Houston area.. once you register you will get emails about those, or you can contact the ride coordinator (she's listed on the Houston tour page).
I am not on a team.. I missed the Austin event back in May due to injury.
