- I just saw on this website where a lady said that Tricare didn't cover her blood test for her diabetes. And most places here in Jacksonville, Do cover it using Tricare Standard, Thats what I use. Sometimes my daughter who is 30, will have a test with no Insurance and will charge her $300.00 for a test. but my copay for the same test is only about $7.00. So you have to find a place that test blood thats in the Tricare network. YOu have to be careful some Dr office and more so with Dental Office will say they accsept or file Tricare but they only file and really don't accept what tricare says they should charge
