Hey there. I've been diabetic for 33 years and am so excited to find this site. I've always been an active person who has exercised and tried to maintain good diabetese control. I'm a third grade teacher and have loved teaching for 23 years. Unfortunately, my students have learned far more about diabetes than third graders need to know. - Good for you! The more they hear from us, the better it will be for us. Erin Kerro was my Edgepark gal. I then went to her manager who was wonderful about getting back to me. I haven't dealt with Edgepark in awhile, but will be as soon as I need to place another order.

Lisa said… - Dana - that would be great if UHC would go directly with Insulet. I finally got the remaining boxes of my order, one week late. I did leave a voice message with the CEO of Edgepark, Ronald Harrington, complaining about his company and the problems I was having. My husband and I talked and if I have the same problems when I reorder in May we will change and go out of network and use Insulet.
Is your contact person at Edgepark Erin Shelley? If so are you having problems getting her to call you back. We were working great together until I had to reorder at the beginning of the month. Now she won't return any of my calls or she will wait until she is walking out of the office.
I'm filing a complaint this weekend with UHC about Edgepark. I've already did one over the phone but now I will be sending them one in writing.
Thanks for giving me an update on your situation. I'm keeping my fingers cross that UHC and go directly with Insulet.

- Hi Dana,
I saw a comment you added about UHC and Edgepark. You said that you sent a letter of appeal to UHC. Can you please let me know what UHC has done? Also did you do this on their website? I have been having problems with Edgepark and I've contacted UHC where someone took down my complaint and froward it on.
The problem I'm having is that they will not refill my order. I started on Omnipod on 1/12 and I was suppose to have my order refilled on 2/2, wasn't too happy on how close they want you to refill your order, and they were holding the order up because they were waiting on a letter from my doctor. They did send one box to me on 2/6 and they received their letter on 2/9 from my doctor but they refused to send out the other two boxes. They told me it will exceed my 90 days. That had me scratching my head. I finally convinced them that I do not have a 90 day supply and they have overnight my other two boxes to me. This is after I got mad at them and called the CEO and complained to Insulet about the company. They keep telling me that they have to make sure they get paid for their service.
I'm afraid to what will happen the next time I need to place an order. I have read somewhere else where people would OK the process on the website and nothing would happen. They would then have to call in to place the order and then the order might go out.
Please let me know what has happen with your appeal. Maybe if we can get more people complaining to UHC about Edgepark they will sign a contract to do business directly with Insulet.

Can you please let me know what has happened with your appeal? I'm hoping if we can get enough people complaining about this company that UHC might go directly with Insulet.
My problem is that Edgepark was holding up my order due to a letter they needed from my doctor. Once they received the letter they refused to send out my order because they said I already had a 90 day supply. I kept telling them that I only received a one box with the started kit and they broke up my order on 2/6, the refill, and shipped out one box. The other problem I have is that they want to wait until your completely out of pods before reshipping. They keep telling me that they need to make sure they get their money. I've been telling them I need to make sure I get my insulin which I think is more important...LOL...I told them they will get their money.
