I have Type 1 and have stage 3 kidney disease, and high blood pressure. im wondering if any of you females out there have been in the same boat as me and have had children??? im not even sure that i want kids yet but would like to know if its even an option. I have a question for all you pumpers....Im a type 1 and am on insulin shots. I used to have a pump but my dr took me off of it around 6 yrs ago. Ive seriously been considering going back on one to help get tighter control. The only problem is Im currently without insurance. :( I spoke with a lady over the phone from the One Touch Ping company who told me that if I could qualify for medicaid, then the pump and all of my supplies would be covered. - im 27 years old and am a total country girl! i love muddin, huntin, fishin, and anything pink camo. :) im also a musician. i play drums guitar piano and am a singer. i was a vocal performance major in college and have had amazing singing opportunities. im also a proud member of the health care industry. i am a phlebotomy technician...i draw blood, or am also known by most of my patients as a vampire... :) i have an amazing boyfriend, travis, who supports me amazingly and knows my diabetes almost better than i do! im a mom to an incredible 5 pound yorkshire terrier...Harley...shes my whole world. i love my life and everything and everyone in it. I cant wait to be able to interract with other people around the world that share in my everyday struggle with this illness.
