I'm 23 years old and was just recently (5 months ago) diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
this is the most difficult thing I have ever had to face in my life. I have plenty of support from my family, boyfriend and friends but they do not have a clue about the disease and how much work it really is. I am really looking to talk and exchange daily routines and story's with other diabetics just like myself who know just how hard and discouraging this disease can be....

I look forward to blogging!!

I am still on my Lantus but no novalog, my Dr put me on junuvia pills even tho I am…

First blog post on this site :-)

so its the beginning of a new week and I've set a new goal for it...

I usually like to keep my sugars a little on the high side like 180+ because I am so nervous of having a hypo situation(which has yet to happen) but I'm just such a nervous freak about EVERYThiNg now!!

I definitely want to get my levels down to a nice normal 110+ and I will be a happy girl!!! the devil on my left shoulder wants me to eat everything I shouldn't tho…

I was diagnosed at the same age.  I am now 10 years into it.  I am an avid runner and have 2 wonderful boys and a wife that inspire me every day to keep up the fight.  I understand what you are going through having been diagnosed at that age.  It was and continues to be very tough.  Frustrating when people don't understand it.  If you need any advice pleas let me know.  I can say my wife is the one person who truly "gets it".  Rely on that one person!

Hi NoSugarAdded- Thanks for the friend add. This is a wonderful site for newbies like yourself. Don't get depressed when your #'s don't meet your expectations. This is a crazy disease and changes all the time. You can rant if you want to if you are disappointed in how you are doing or you can cheer if you want to share a lowered a1c. BTW you really lowered your A1c. Hooray !!!! If you have any questions or want to "talk", just stop by my page. BTW I am a T-1 for the past 13 years.
