Sarah, I tried glipizide for 3 months. It made me VERY Hungary and if I missed a meal I went low, not to mention how bad it made me feel. When I took myself off my BS didn't go below 300 for almost two weeks......I'm convinced it would have caused...

Hi Danny,
I have been thinking about you. I got such a good suggestion from another friend the other day that I immediately thought of you and hope this link is going to be of some help. I know you and I have both been thinking back and forth about a pump for some time now. I went to the insulin pumpers forum and went through until i got to page 2. On that page there is a post titled "To pump or not to pump and which one". written by Diane. Then when you go to that site, there is an answer by Sarah S that gives a link address there in her post. It is to an insulin pump links site that gives so much information. That address on there is www.insulin-pumpers,org/links.shtml I went through most of the sites they offer on there and got the information I needed. There is even a site listed as IPump, org that will help with the pump and supplies and stuff. I foudn all of this extremely helpful and hope you will too. I don't think you should do without your pump when it may be available for you.as well as the supplies for it. Look at it and see what you think. If it can work out, then it makes me very happy to be able to help I would like to see you be able to have smooth control too. I am going to leave my e-mail address if you would like to use it katsan1733@yahoo.com. Stay safe Danny
Peace, love and prayers to you

Hi Danny,
I will not forget my prayers for you Danny. You are a very special friend to me. I am glad the prayers comfort you. It makes me feel good to offer them You are able to reach out with your kindness and sharing to so many others and I think you are a very important person. If I can boost your sprit in any way it makes me happy. I think God puts us here on earth with the ability to reach out to others if we choose, With His blessings we can be givers if we choose. Obviously, you are a giver. It makes me happy to keep you in my prayers.
I remembered you had thought about a pump too. I really like the idea of the OmniPod because it is little and doesn't have wires and sensors or tubing to be hanging off a person. Since I have been thinking about it so much these past few days I haven't been using as much insulin. Of course I haven't been eatng very much and that is why I haven't needed much insulin, but now I am wonderng if I am being too hasty about looking into it. I would think it may be a lot easier for you than the MDI's since you are out and busy all the time. I do understand the need to wait about finances though too. I will see how things work out.
Peace and Love Danny
Saundra
