I, too, work at a computer all day. My fingers have been problematic for a few years. Next week I am scheduled for bowfinger surgery on 2 fingers of my right hand. While I was being examined for this procedure I had an electric nerve test. This is...

I don't find the theme offensive. I've felt that way but didn't feel the need to act it out. Of course, many times I would have been unable to do anything because my blood sugar was dropping faster than Statham's fight moves. IN fact, I felt the n...

I would like to add a local support team. Someone you can talk to when needed. Another diabetic or two. What may work for some may not work for you. However, maybe something said will add a piece to the puzzle.

Use the Joslin Clinic. Although I feel like a statistic everytime I visit (twice a year or so) the staff is courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. Joslin does make every effort to maintain communication via email, the web, postal and phone. Thei...

We can no longer rely on one physician to care and oversee our diabetic care. Build your own team with a primary care physician, endrocrinologist, podiatrist, optometrist, and nutritionist. That's a lot to manage along with the medications but no ...

Thank you very much for your comment. I've been feeling a little low as we struggle with Eric's BG control right now, and your observation is a help.

Hello David!

I am so sorry you experienced one of the many complications of diabetes. I hope all is well with you now.
You must have read my profile. This past week my twin sister developed another small ulcer above her amputation (this surgical area has not healed completely).
Please let me know the hospital and name of the Dr.'s that helped you. We are 1 hour from Boston. I am concerned about my twin and Boston may be the place.to go for further treatment.
Take care of yourself.
Thanks for responding.
