"Struggling too! It's work in progress really. I get scared when I gets highs and feel sick, do good, then feel better and cheat. Started Byetta and have to eat more carbs than usual so it has helped me not to be so rebellious."

Hi Dean-----The first Portland TuD Meet-up is on for August 30th at beautiful Columbia Park in North Portland---I do so hope you and your family/support friends can put it on your calendar now! The little ones are my grandbabies! The two older ones are my daughters. Yes, I know grandma at 46yrs! Adore them!
My eldest daughter is 27yrs and the mommy to the grandbabies, my youngest is 18yrs old.

You will meet some GREAT friends here! Their the greatest bunch of ppl around with diabetes I think almost all of us old timers are already done feeling sorry for ourselves and really want to help others now and we all know how suprized we were to find out ( in my case
that I was Type 1 and would have to take shots for the rest of my life, that at that time years ago they told me I might live to be 30 and would never have kids! Now it's totally different. I have 2 lovely girls one 17 and the other 19 the 19 year old is a Type 1 and already has 1 daughter of her own and well have another in March! YES I'M A PROUD GRANMA!!
