maybe it's nothing, maybe its not

So, for like the past week my bgs have been steadily increasing. Nothing much has changed with the way I'm doing things, but my levels keep getting higher. My fasting levels are getting to be back in the 160s and I have no clue why. I don't really want to say anything to my mom because she'll say I'm worrying about nothing, and I won't be able to talk to the doctor about it until after New Years, maybe after Christmas if I'm lucky. This is so frustrating!!!!

Oh Joy, More Bad News

So, as if diabetes wasn't enough, hello TMJ. Temporomandibular Joint and Muscle Disorder. Thanks Mom! (can't you just feel the sarcasm rolling off that statement). It also explains the headaches and ear pain I've been having

But, in happier news, I've gotten a much better control over my diabetes. My numbers have almost gone down to normal… Continue

class

Well, I got registered for a diabetes education class, and pissed off my sociology teacher in the process. The hospital called in the middle of sociology and I walked out to answer it. I apologized after class, but she's still pissed. Looking back, it probably wasn't the best choice, but damnit I had been waiting for that call for over a week, I was not about to miss it. I got caught up on all of my make up work in my other classes, now I can worry about my final projects. I have got to buckle d… Continue

A Good Day

Well, I got my test results back, and I am officially a Type 2. My A1C was critically high though, and my liver function was extremely elevated, so I've had a prescription change. I've been switched to Januvia and I'm now temporarily on insulin until I can see an endocrinologist. 10 units once a day to get my fasting levels down. Thank goodness for free samples, I have enough meds for a few months. I'm anxious to see how I do on the new medicine, my old medicine kept my bgs fluctuating between t… Continue
