What I thought was Dooms Day

I suppose I should introduce myself and tell my story of my diagnosis. I am 27 years old and I live in the mountains of New Hampshire, where I am currently in Nursing School. I was diagnosed with T1 when I was 7 years old in July of 1991. My older sister also has T1 and was diagnosed at the age of 7 as well. You are welcome and I am very glad you are here. I read your story and I am so in awe of you and others that were dx'ed so young. We are all warriors I feel...living with this "D". I went into DKA in 1995....1 hr. from dying the Doctor said. I had some nerve damage and a drop foot for about 6 months. Recovered and very, very grateful to have lived. I am glad you did too.
