Jeff Nobles said… - Debbie, I began pumping in March 2001, and it has been very good for my quality of life. I took insulin shots for more than 27 years. I like this better. How are you liking your pump?
Carb counting is also a challenge for me. I need to adjust my basals and do more figure to figure out different foods affect my blood glucose levels at different times of day. Then I think I would get more consistent results.
But it has gotten easier for me over the years. I think for the first year, pumping and carb counting were a lot harder than they are now. I wish you the best of luck while you are in this phase.
