"Dog Sick"

Hi All,

My daughter was so ill yesterday, I had to take off work to be with her. Being a Downs Syndrome she tends to pick up any little bug floating around. We started with the "runs" and by the end of the day she was sitting on the loo with a bucket, cos it was just liquid from both ends!! Instead of saying that she's "sick as a dog", she has decided she's "dog sick" and guess who also has the damn bug now....? Yup, you guessed it.

Despite feeling like death warmed up, the retards I work with… Continue

Regret

obviously took too much insulin, now I'm going low! 2.9mmol & dropping. Damn, damn, damn

hi all,

I am battling with extremely high BG (over 35 mmol) levels and I only have myself to blame. If I hadn't fallen off the bus on Monday & yesterday I probably wouln't be in this position right now. Talk about having regrets.... And I'm not even on my deathbed yet. I feel all kinda fuzzy, cant concentrate and if I put my head on my desk I KNOW I will fall asleep in seconds.

I'm testing &… Continue

Bad day...!

I have had a shocker of a day!

I havent tested once, I havent injected, I have eaten way too much and not only that, I've eaten things like a cream donut, chocolate, steak pie, etc. I'm almost embarrased to say I feel tired and depressed. (what did I think....? That if I ignored it, I would suddenly be "normal" and no longer a diabetic!!)

I feel like an absolute idiot. I'm a farce. Pretending to be someone that i'm just not. I'm sorry. I think I need help.
My life a sham, I'm a damn mess, no g… Continue

Question...?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why my BG level goes UP even when I havent eaten anything...?
It's driving me nuts, and I just dont "get" it. I read somewhere that in the days before synthetic insulin was invented, the way they treated diabetics was to almost starve them. If they didnt eat, the sugar levels couldn't go up...! That I get. It makes sense, albeit not a great way to live but hey, that was then. So what's changed, or is it just me?
