"Alda,Good luck with the Victoza. I lost about 10 lbs on it when I first started it but that stopped. I can only take .06 and only every other day. If I take it everyday it makes me throw up. Just now I threw up three days of food. ugh! And that is…"

Victoza

I tried again to do the Victoza but again after three days at .06 I started to fill sick to my stomach. Finally did throw up and had about three days food that came up. I decided that was enough for me. Of course after about two days being off it my morning BS was running about 138, which was high for me. I did increase my insulin from 10 units at night to 15 units but it was still high in the AM. My Dr. Has me taking 4 metformins at night with my evening snack. I will see her this month and I…See More

Looking at surgery.

Seems that I am having issues with my gall bladder. Only 20% of my food is getting through it. After three days it comes back up unless I only drink my food. I'm concerned because I haven't had surgery sins being diabetic.

Victoza

So far I'm on my third day of taking the Victoza. Have been taking it in the evening at 8:00 at the .o6 dose. Seems ok so far. Endo wants me to stay at that level for one week and then try to go up. I did this before and once I got to the higher dose starting throwing up. So far so good. I am only eating until I start feeling full and then stop. So far I've lost four lbs. in three days and the morning sugar levels are back to 116, 114. unlike the 136 I was having. Seems to be helping there.…

Saw my endo yesterday and because my BS is running high in the mornings she wants me to go back on Victoza. I was taking it before and it just made me sick all the time and I would throw up after taking it for a couple of days. I told her this and she told me to just stay on the .06 for a week and see how that works. My A1C is 6.7. I was put on BP meds about two months ago and a beta blocker and thats when I noticed weight gain and higher BS in the morning. I think I could take this…
