"Lucky you.I just got an order, from Insulet, but the regular pods came. When I asked when I would get the new ones, the answer was , not yet. I don't understand what's going on.... My 3 year annivesary will be end of May...."

jla said… I said it was complicated. Medicare does NOT cover either the pods or the DexCom sensors. However, in order for my secondary insurance to cover them as they were doing before I was on Medicare and when they were my primary insurance, I must have a denial of coverage from Medicare. Then, now that I use Liberty, I pay $1000 deductible and they pay 80% of the cost of the pods and sensors. I thought I understood that your Medicare Advantage Plan through BC/BS paid for your pods. But that's new, correct? I know that I can't change plans until the end of 2012 but in the meantime, I can be looking for the right plan for me. Again, thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info, I'll investigate more thoroughly to see what I can find like that. When my employee plan was BC/BS it was not very satisfactory. Changing would would mean leaving the healthcare plan I had when I worked with which I was very satisfied but as you can see, it's quite expensive.
